Summary
You may need to repair a copper pipe rapidly but may not be
able to change the damaged pipe immediately. Follow these
steps to affect a temporary repair:
1 Cutting a hose to fit the pipe
2 Securing the hose
Tools
Hose pipe.
Materials
Blade, wire loops, hose clips.
Step 1 - Cutting a hose to fit the pipe
Cut a piece of hose to the appropriate length - at least 50mm
beyond the area of damage. Make a longitudinal slice so you
will be able to slip the hose over the pipe.
Step 2 - Securing the hose
Use a series of wire loops or ideally some hose clips
to secure the hose in place and seal the damaged area.
